Human hands can surpass machines

A four-days terracotta workshop was organized by School of Humanities and Literary studies, ITM University, Gwalior. Nivedita Basu , an international artist and designer from Chicago, explained the students the skills of Clay art. Nivedita Basu made several artifacts of clay design.

Nivedita Singh has been a student of Kala Bhavan, Shanti Niketan and Institute of Chicago.In this workshop, she basically taught four skills namely Coil Method, Pitching, Slab building and wheel throwing.

On this occasion, Shri Ramashankar Singh, Chancellor of the University, expressed that all the beautiful works have been done by human hands. According to him, soil is the easiest medium of creative work. An skilled artist can give soil any shape whatever he wants
